Aggregation Modes

  2. Dynamic Aggregation (LACP):
    • Active mode: Port initiates LACP negotiation with the peer switch.
    • Passive mode: Port responds to LACP negotiation initiated by the peer .
  3. PAgP (Cisco proprietary): Can be configured in desirable (actively negotiates) or auto (passively waits) modes .

  1. Enter privileged EXEC mode and then global configuration mode.
  2. Select the interface(s) to aggregate:

  3. Add the port to an aggregation group:
